I was going to let the season pass without doing a Christmas giveaway. After all, it's such a busy time of year. But then cookware.com contacted me and gave me the irresistible opportunity to give away something that I though was EXTRAORDINARILY lovely:

This Winterberry pie plate with a cardinal pie bird, by Pfaltzgraff. Really, I love this and think it's beautiful. Wouldn't you love to have this on your holiday table? The pie bird is such a bonus- I use one all the time when making fruit pies so that there is no messy run over in the oven. Of course, this one is much nicer than mine.
Here are the specs:
- 10 1/2" diameter x 1 1/2" high
- Cardinal pie vent is 4" high
- Made of chip-resistant stoneware
- Microwave, dishwasher and oven safe
- 5 year warranty
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment (preferably with your e-mail address; you do want to be contacted if you win, don't you?) and for an additional 5 entries, link back to this post from your own blog to tell others about the giveaway. The giveaway will run for five days and a winner will be announced on Monday December 14.
Just so you know, I don't get anything out of this other than the joy of giving.
(On an unrelated note, my physical therapist mentioned that sitting on those high counter stools at home could be of a help to my neck and shoulder problems as they are more ergonomically correct, or something like that. If you have upper back problems and have found some relief this way, would you e-mail me and tell me about it? I want to get some opinions before we actually purchase some. Thanks.)

I would love to win that beautiful pie plate and pie bird. I had a little black pie bird that fell/flew off the stove earlier this year and broke. Thanks for having this giveaway. (I'm posting unter my husband's domain, but my email is bloach@bju.edu)

Oh how beautiful! I don't think I've ever seen something like this. All my pie dishes are regular glass pyrex. We have a Cardinal ornament on the top of our tree this year. I think Cardinals are just lovely.
